Route Information
Ludhiana to Shimla by car is well connected through NH44 and NH5. The route goes through Ludhiana to Panchkula to Himalayan expressway. This expressway is better than many expressways on plains. The view is terrific. Just before Kasauli, the famous food joint "Giani da dhaba" is a must visit. Right from the end of expressway to the start of Shimla roads are very well maintained. There is another route via Machhiwara and Nalagarh which is shorter but takes litter more time. Ludhiana to Shimla distance is 223 Km and is 5.2 hours journey.
