Within the temple grounds lies the shrine of Goddess Rajyalakshmi which adds to the divine aura of the place. The temple also celebrates the Rathotsavam festival with great devotion. According to legends a Brahmin named Kesavaiah who had no children used to visit holy shrines with his brother-in-law Govindudu adding a beautiful touch to the town’s spiritual heritage.
