Within the fort's grounds, there are a small mosque, a temple, and a Gurudwara, highlighting the area's diverse cultural history. Although damaged by an earthquake in 2005, the state of Jammu and Kashmir has worked hard to restore this architectural marvel, making Poonch Fort a prime tourist attraction that celebrates the rich histories of Indian rulers.
