Now, Solapur is a commercial hub and is known world wide for Solapuri Chhaddar. Solapur is also visited by millions of devotees of its chief deity Shri Siddeshwar at "Nandidhwaj" procession on Makar Sankranti fair and in annual fair in January called "Gadda Yatra" which is associated with the marriage of Lord Siddheshwar.
