Hanuman, upon arrival, was disappointed, but Rama consoled him by installing the Lingam brought by him just north of Ramanathaswamy. Rama decreed that Hanuman’s Lingam should receive precedence in all honors. The temple's rich history and divine connection make it a significant religious and cultural site.
